This book is the same conversation over and over and over.... I really enjoyed the first two books in the series but I think the author was out of ideas for this one. It's not the same caliber, sorry to say.

I truly enjoyed Heather Hunt's the gift series. Loving Sara will have you on an emotional roller coaster. Sara who never stopped loving Hawk feels she's inadequate due to her injury. To find out more read Loving Sara.
Heather Hunt you are the best.This is one of the best books I have read in a long time.the dialogue is witty,humerous and entertaining.Sometimes I get so mad with Sara for not standing up to Holly and for Hawk for being so clueless,but I thoroughly enjoyed this book.The kids dialogues are amazing.Wherever did you got Gracie?Heather please don't wait so long to bring the next book in the series.I know it must have taken time to develop the characters with such depth but please please don't let me wait so long again.Thank you for a wonderful story.Please get this book it is more than worth it.
I enjoyed this book just as much, maybe more, than the first book! The characters are so well developed you feel as you are there with them. There were 3 main things that made this book so good, in my opinion.
First, the family. This book was all about family. Loving one another, caring for one another, and passing that important sense of togetherness to the younger generations. The fact that they spend so much time together, that the kids feel totally at home with their aunts, uncles and cousins, is something we are losing in our society today. It is nice to be reminded of the importance of family.
Second, this book is all about faith in God, without ever feeling preachy. It is just simply part of their day to day lives. They live their faith in everything they do. And sometimes, they question that faith. This book doesn’t paint a phony happily ever after type of faith, it just shows how people of true faith live their lives through all the ups and downs that life tends to throw at us.
And third, the wonderful lessons it gives about people with disabilities, or serious illness. It enables those with difficulties to face them and be the people they choose to be. It makes it clear that being “crippled” is a choice. That they can rise above just about anything. They too can have attainable dreams, and not to let naysayers slow them down. It is actually those naysayers who are the crippled ones.
One thing I had a little trouble with was the characters being age appropriate. The little ones were darling and very precocious, certainly, but I felt they were too much so. There are simply concepts and expressions that don’t match with their supposed ages even a little bit. And on the other end, Nana is made out to be an elderly woman. I am only a couple years younger than she is supposed to be, and there is nothing elderly about me! Older, yes. Aged, elderly? Most certainly not!
Lastly, obviously this author has a BIG dog in her life! She has Henry down perfectly! As a big dog mama, I recognized my big kids immediately! There is nothing quite like a big dog, but you’d have to have one to recognize it!
I really enjoyed these two books. I came to feel like I really knew each of the characters. Like I could get in the car and drive to Georgia, and there they would be. The close sense of family brought back many happy memories, made me wish my parents hadn’t been only children. But I can see that closeness in my children’s families, and know how blessed they are to have each other. These books certainly have quite the emotional roller coaster ride. I laughed and I cried. And I loved every minute! I will read these again, and I recommend them to anyone! They are true romance without needing to even hint at indiscretion. The little kids know that words like butt and crap are BAD words, and I recall those days when that was what I thought were really bad words myself! ‘Nuff said! They are great books!
